how to set iphone grayscale 728

What makes your iPhone so damn addictive? Well, besides it being a hand-held portal to the, uh, entire universe, it’s also easy on the eyes. With the rainbow of apps that make up your home screen to the gorgeously shot avocado toasts of Instagram—your iPhone is an absolute feast for your eyes. So here’s the two-second trick to make staring at your iPhone a little less appealing.

Program your iPhone to grayscale. Yep, it’s as easy as setting the screen to black and white. Here’s how you do it for iOs 11:

Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Color Filters. Switch Color Filters “on” and select Grayscale.

Boom. Suddenly Instagram and Facebook are waaay less interesting, which means you’re not jonesin’ to check your phone every six seconds.

But, what about when you just have to see photos of your co-worker’s newborn in Technicolor? Easy. Set your phone up to toggle between grayscale and color:

Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Accessibility Shortcut > Color Filters

Now when you want to shift between grayscale and color, your just click your heels press the home button three times.
