Serena Williams Posts Extremely Rare Photo with BFF Meghan Markle and Daughter Alexis Olympia

To all the royal fans out there: Meghan Markle’s new podcast series, Archetypes, is finally available to listen to on Spotify. In celebration of the release, tennis star Serena Williams (who is the special guest on the first ep) is giving a special shout-out to her dear friend on Instagram.

The 40-year-old athlete shared a rare black-and-white photograph on her account, where she can be seen standing next to Markle in an indoor setting. However, the pair aren’t alone in the snapshot. William’s young daughter, Alexis Olympia, is nestled right in between them.

“I loved talking about so many important topics with my dear friend, Meghan as her first guest on #archetypes for @spotify!” Williams wrote in the caption. “It’s out now and worth the listen, especially if you’re ambitious [red heart emoji].”

On the premiere episode of Markle’s new podcast series, the longtime friends sat down and talked about being labeled as “ambitious,” as well as how that ties into both of their lives and the way they're perceived. Markle and Williams were joined by Dr. Laura Kray, a leading expert on gender in the workplace.

“I don’t remember ever personally feeling the negative connotation behind the word ‘ambitious’ until I started dating my now husband,” the duchess said in the first episode of the series. “And um, apparently ambition is, uh…a terrible, terrible thing, for a woman that is—according to some. So, since I’ve felt the negativity behind it, it’s really hard to un-feel it. I can’t unsee it, either, in the millions of girls and women who make themselves smaller—so much smaller—on a regular basis.”

Name a better BFF duo (we’ll wait…).
