Serena Williams Turns Heads in Chic, Feathery Gucci Gown for 'Mama's Night Out'

Birds of a feather flock together, so it makes sense that Serena Williams wouldn't miss an event with some of the world's other most-fashionable celebrities.

The 40-year-old tennis pro showed up to the Gucci Love Parade Fashion Show in a two-toned feathery ensemble courtesy of Gucci. The dress featured intricate floral stitching on the black skirt and cream bodice, along with dramatic, salmon-colored sleeves covered in feathers. Williams was seen sporting a pair of matching heels to go with the bottom half of the dress, as well as two silver necklaces, one of which said “Love” and the other which featured a dangling heart.

To construct the look, the athlete turned to her regular collaborators, including stylist Kesha McLeod, makeup artist Natasha Gross and hairstylist Angela Meadows.

Williams showed off the look on her Instagram and revealed that she got a rare night out to herself (without her husband or daughter Olympia), writing, “Mama's night out. Thank you @gucci for an incredible evening.”

But the tennis star didn't spend the night alone. She shared shots of herself hanging out with some of the other high-profile attendees, including Lizzo and Diane Keaton. Keaton even commented on Williams's post, saying, “I AM IN AWE OF YOU!!!” Williams also got a selfie with Jackson Lewis Lee, the son of Spike Lee.

We're not surprised that Williams was in attendance at the fashionable event. The tennis pro has an ongoing relationship with Gucci, and the brand actually designed the silver, star-studded outfit that Williams wore to the Met Gala earlier this year. Fittingly enough, this superhero-inspired ‘fit was also quite feather-heavy, so it makes sense that they've appeared once again.

Keep the outfits coming, Serena.
