  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's eldest child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, celebrated his 3rd birthday on May 6, and although we didn't get a new portrait of the royal, we were still treated to photos from many of his relatives, including his grandfather, Prince Charles.
  • Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth posted a photo for the toddler's birthday which seemingly showed her support for the Sussexes due to its jovial nature and the fact that it even included her late husband, Prince Philip. (This post also followed the resurfacing of a photo that showed the queen's close relationship with Prince Harry).
  • Kate Middleton and Prince William also celebrated their nephew's big day by sharing a throwback from his christening (as seen above).
  • Queen Elizabeth made history yet again as she became the third-longest reigning monarch in the world. This achievement comes right before Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee, where she will celebrate 70 years on the throne.
  • As the Platinum Jubilee nears, exciting updates have been revealed, including the fact that Lin-Manuel Miranda is crafting a secret project with Andrew Lloyd Webber, which will first be unveiled at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. Other musicians set to perform at the Jubilee include Ed Sheeran.
  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry confirmed that they will fly out to the U.K. for the queen's celebration, bringing their kids, Archie and Lilibet, along with them (marking Lilibet's first visit across the pond). However, the quartet will surprisingly not be joining the family for the balcony photo.
  • BBC will also release a special documentary, titled Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen, which will feature private home movies of the queen from when she was a young girl.
  • During a royal outing at St. John's Primary School in Glasgow, the Duchess of Cambridge switched her hair back to soft, beachy waves, while going into full-parenting mode as she sat cross-legged on the ground (as seen above).
  • A body language expert noticed that when Middleton and Prince William visited a memorial to the victims of a Manchester, U.K. bombing, the pair were “completely in sync” and Middleton even bore similarities to Princess Diana.
  • Thanks to People, we finally learned the name of the English Cocker Spaniel that Prince William and Middleton adopted back in 2020: Orla.
  • The Duke of Cambridge received a BAFTA Award due to his work on the Earthshot Prize (an award that honors those combatting climate change through technology), and he sent his personal thanks in a signed tweet.
  • For the first time ever, Prince Charles took Queen Elizabeth's place at the State Opening of Parliament, where he delivered her opening speech, due to the 96-year-old monarch's continued issues with mobility.
  • Following this historic moment, body language expert Darren Stanton noted that Prince Charles seems to be "at ease" when it comes to his transition to becoming king.
  • Queen Letizia of Spain presented the Reina Letizia 2021 Awards earlier this week, where she couldn't help but laugh when she noticed that one of the recipients was wearing the same two-tone Mango dress as her.
  • Camilla Parker Bowles was interviewed by her son for YOU magazine on Mother's Day, where she discussed her "life in food," including the many "cooking disasters" she's experienced in the kitchen.
  • Princess Diana's younger brother, Charles Spencer, dug up a 1930s photo of his father, Edward John Spencer, from when he was only a kid, during a trip to Scotland.
  • In a new promo video for Travalyst, Prince Harry runs through the streets wearing a "girl dad" t-shirt and jokingly gets mistaken for Harry Styles.
