  • Last week, Prince William hosted a brief (yet very informational) Q&A with fans on Instagram, regarding his Earthshot Prize and the first-ever awards that took place this weekend. As a bonus, he also discussed his daughter’s feelings about unicorns. Turns out, Princess Charlotte, believes the fairy tale creatures are real. “Well, I think if you talk to my daughter she would say they were real,” the prince said in a video. “Obviously, it's a trade secret, but I can't possibly comment.”
  • Queen Elizabeth recently paid a visit to the Ascot racecourse in Berkshire, England (for the first time in over a year). • Prince William's Earthshot Prize Awards took place this weekend (more on that later), and it's clear that his event had the full support of his family. The Duke of Cambridge's father, Prince Charles, promoted the event on his own account that he shares with Camilla Parker Bowles. In the post, Prince Charles included a poster for the ceremony, as well as a special photo of him and his oldest son that appears to have been taken fairly recently.

The 31-year-old royal shared a never-before-seen photo on Instagram in honor of her mom’s 62nd birthday. The snap features Princess Eugenie and Ferguson perched on a rock as they smile for the camera.

On Wednesday, the Duchess of Sussex wrote an open letter to the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, and the Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer, advocating for paid parental leave. Published on Paid Leave for All, the message addressed the everyday struggles parents face when welcoming a new member into their family and how they often must choose between being a part of their child’s first few critical months or going back to work.

  • Queen Elizabeth recently turned down an offer to be honored at The Oldie of the Year Awards, which were established 29 years ago to recognize the older generation for their late-life achievements and public contributions. According to a report, the queen “politely but firmly” rejected the nomination, claiming she doesn’t fit the “relevant criteria.”

  • Princess Beatrice’s baby girl has finally been added to the line of succession on royal.uk. The newborn officially holds the number 11 spot (which was previously occupied by her aunt, Princess Eugenie). Now that the child is included, Eugenie has shifted to the 12th position and her son, August Brooksbank, moved to the 13th spot.
  • Prince Harry just gained a high-profile ally in his fight for the suspension of oil and gas drilling in the Okavango River Basin. Actor and fellow activist, Leonardo DiCaprio, has also officially joined the cause. Harry and local Namibian activist Reinhold Mangundu wrote an op-ed piece while DiCaprio shared a statement of support on Instagram.
