Prince William Reveals Princess Charlotte’s Thoughts on Unicorns in New Q&A Video

Prince William hosted a brief (yet very informational) Q&A with fans on Instagram this morning, regarding his Earthshot Prize and the first-ever awards happening this weekend. As a bonus, he also discussed his daughter’s feelings about unicorns.

On Thursday, the Duke of Cambridge shared a question box on the Instagram account he shares with Kate Middleton, @dukeandduchessofcambridge, urging fans to send in any questions they may have about the prestigious environment project. “Taking questions on the Earthshot Prize tomorrow,” he wrote in the Story alongside arrows pointing to the answer box. He simply signed the message, “W.”

This morning, the 39-year-old wasted no time before diving into the Q&A. Naturally, a few fans asked a handful of off-topic inquiries. Our favorite? Whether or not unicorns are real. Turns out, Will’s daughter, Princess Charlotte, has strong thoughts on the matter.

“Well, I think if you talk to my daughter she would say they were real,” the prince responded. “Obviously, it's a trade secret, but I can't possibly comment.”

Prince William also went over a handful of questions related to the project, including one that asked if the Earthshot Prize gave him hope for the future. “Yeah, I think Earthshot has given me a lot of hope,” he said. “I think in putting all this together over the last 18 months, seeing everyone, meeting everyone, hearing the solutions, I do feel really hopeful that we can turn the tide—we can fix stuff.”
