When it comes to the wild things people will do to land a job, most of us think of funny résumés, bold DMs or maybe even a creative video. But in Hollywood? Things get way more dramatic. Reese Witherspoon recently shared some of the surprising things she’s done for her career and the list is both impressive and comical.

On November 23, The Morning Show star, 49, posted a carousel on Instagram and wrote, “Can’t believe how many adventures this job has taken me on! So grateful.”

What followed was a series of slides highlighting all kinds of memorable moments from her acting career. The first slide read, “Crazy things I did for my job…” paired with her mugshot from the 2002 movie Sweet Home Alabama.

Next came a shot of her iconic Legally Blonde character, Elle Woods, with the caption, “Took law school classes for Legally Blonde.” She followed it with “learned to play the autoharp for Walk the Line,” then shared, “Took vocal lessons to be a singing Mama Pig in Sing,” “Hike miles and miles on the PCT for Wild,” and “Learned to ride an elephant for Water for Elephants.”

Then came one of the funniest reveals. “Dressed up as a deer with Sofía Vergara for Hot Pursuit.” The final slide showed a video of Reese flipping through the air while attached to a harness. “Spent hours doing wire training for the space scenes on The Morning Show,” she explained.

The last slide brought everything full circle with a shot of Elle Woods and the message, “Forever grateful for these stories and the chance to bring them to life!”

Reese is no stranger to posting carousels filled with life tidbits and career reflections. Back in July, she shared another slideshow, this time offering advice she’d give her younger self.

The iconic actress, director and producer shared photos from her early years, including a childhood school picture. Her messages included “Rejection teaches you perseverance,” “Edit your friendships,” and “The sooner you realize people’s opinions of you are none of your business, you become free.”

One standout was her simple reminder to “stick with the radiators.” As she put it, “People are either radiators or drains, stick with the radiators!”
