Reese Witherspoon's 4-Word Life Advice? “Stick With the Radiators”

The motivation I needed

Everyone has a piece of advice that we wish we could go back and tell our younger selves (For me? Stop worrying about things and people you can't control).

For Reese Witherspoon, the message is simple: Stick with the radiators. There’s more, too, as the iconic actress, director and producer posted a series of pictures from her earlier years, starting with a childhood school photo and going all the way to her Legally Blonde days. Those other messages, you ask? “Rejection teaches you perseverance,” “Edit your friendships,” and “The sooner you realize people’s opinions of you are none of your business, you become free.”

But my personal favorite? “People are either radiators or drains, stick with the radiators!” Not only is Witherspoon’s post super relatable, it’s also right on time, as indicated by the comments.

One fan wrote: “There’s plenty of negative stuff in the world… just always have faith and believe in hope, listen to those close voices…I’d tell myself that time flies so fast.. I remember the year 2000, and now it’s 25 years ago..great stuff, RW.” While another added: "Yes, you are right. Rejection makes you stronger, makes you want it more. Thank you for the advice. I am proof of that.”

In the meantime, Witherspoon is gearing up for the release of season four of The Morning Show, the hit series she stars in alongside longtime friend Jennifer Aniston. The teaser for this latest season was just recently released, and if the trailer is any indication of what’s to come, this just might be its most dramatic season yet.

When asked in late 2023 if the time jump in season four would be similar to the gap between seasons two and three, Witherspoon told Variety, "I think so, just because it takes us so long. They write for so long and have brand-new storylines that are happening. I think we’re a little behind in time, too."

Aniston added, "Our show tends to mirror what is actually happening in the world." And Witherspoon responded, "Yeah, so as things come up while they’re writing, they’ll put them into the story."

Well, until the new season drops, guess I'll just have to keep watching Witherspoon's IG for more uplifting messages (and seriously good life advice).
