We (and I do mean the royal we) have a baby on the way!
That's right—Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are officially expecting their first child together. The couple announced the news today in an adorable Instagram post.

In the first photo of the post, Eugenie holds up a pair of extremely tiny koala slippers (while not-so-subtly showing off her massive engagement ring). In the second pic, she and Brooksbank pose for the camera and are, of course, all smiles.
The royal captioned the slideshow, "Jack and I are so excited for early 2021....[baby emoji]." Obviously, fans around the world were quick to comment with their well wishes. Queen Máxima of the Netherlands even left a note writing, "Congratulations [blue heart emoji]." Blue heart? Does she know something we don't?
Per People, Buckingham Palace also released a statement on the happy news. They said, "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021. The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news."
This announcement may come as surprising to some, as fans have recently been speculating that Eugenie's sister Beatrice was actually the one expecting a baby. Earlier this month, the Princess of York paid a visit to the baby store The Little White Company in London, according to People. Per the outlet, she left with one solo bag (which was covered so its contents could not be seen). This had many wondering if Beatrice is expecting. And while it’s certainly possible both sisters are pregnant, it’s also likely she was shopping for a gift for someone. (Eugenie, duh.)
Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank tied the knot in a huge royal wedding back in October of 2018. It was a massive affair with everyone from Queen Elizabeth to Meghan Markle in attendance.
Now we just patiently await baby bump pics...and a gender reveal...and a baby name...and...
