Princess Eugenie Just Gave Ellie Goulding a Super Meaningful Friendship Bracelet

Princess Eugenie just took her friendship with musician Ellie Goulding to the next level.

The 29-year-old Princess of York pledged her friendship to the 33-year-old “Lights” singer and her commitment to sustainability in one Instagram post this past weekend. Princess Eugenie revealed that she’s given Goulding a friendship bracelet from Together Band and explained what that means to her. (The company sheds light on the 17 Global Goals created by the United Nations to make the world better by 2030 by offering friendship bracelets in different colors tailored to champion each goal.)

Eugenie posed for a pic with her new friendship bracelet and wrote, “I’m so proud to be part of #TogetherBand. I chose Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth because I believe that everyone in the world deserves to be free from slavery and that all people have the right to their own future. Through my work with TASC I’ve seen the incredible power of what can be achieved when people support and uplift each other. With #TOGETHERBAND we have the opportunity to create great change and I hope we can all join forces to reach the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.”

She went on to thank @graceaforrest for inspiring her to become part of the mission and said she’s sharing her band with Goulding, “who is consistently fighting to change the world.”

The princess released a statement with Together Band saying that she opted to share her bracelet with Goulding because “She is all about bringing people together. She does it with her music, and now she does for climate change, and she’s been supporting me throughout the journey of The Anti-Slavery Collective, as well as the sustainable development goals, and she’s just the perfect role model to take this on.”

Goulding has been a close friend of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice for years. She jetted off on a 2018 trip to the Wadi Rum Desert in Jordan with Beatrice and attended Eugenie’s 2018 wedding to Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle. Both princesses were also there when Goulding wed her now-husband Caspar Jopling in August 2019. Brooksbank served as one of the groomsmen and Beatrice even once wrote Goulding a poem.

Suffice it to say, Golding and the princesses are peas in a pod.
