Sarah Ferguson just recently celebrated her 63rd birthday, and while her many followers sent love on Instagram, she also received a special message from her youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, 32.
The princess shared a slideshow of photos to Instagram at the end of her mother's special day, and in her caption, she wrote, “Half an hour left to go of October 15th 2022 but better late than never.. Happy Birthday my dear mumsy! @sarahferguson15.”
The carousel starts out with a selfie of Princess Eugenie and the Duchess of York, followed by a solo shot of the birthday girl as she sits in front of a stunning mountainside. Then, Princess Eugenie included a photo of her, her mom, her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and her older sister, Princess Beatrice. She closed out the slideshow with a shot of Fergie walking and then a pic of her and her mom standing under a giant tree.
We weren't surprised to see this birthday post, because the 32-year-old princess has made it somewhat of a tradition to share tributes to her mom each year. Last October, when the duchess's birthday rolled around, Princess Eugenie posted a pic of the two of them hugging during a hike, and she wrote, “Happy Birthday to my dearest Mumma.. @sarahferguson15.”
Back in 2019, when Ferguson celebrated her milestone 60th birthday, Princess Eugenie marked the moment with a slideshow of major throwbacks. In each of the photos, the royal was seen as a young girl sharing intimate moments with her mother.
“To my beautiful Mumma - Happy 60th birthday,” she wrote. “You are an inspiration and one of the people I admire most in this world. Thank you for being you. I love you to the moon and back @sarahferguson15 #birthday.”
This year, the Duchess of York gave us an idea as to how she was spending her birthday, when she posted snaps of herself snuggling up with the late Queen Elizabeth's corgis.
Following the monarch's passing, her two beloved dogs—Muick and Sandy—were put under the care of Ferguson and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew. And it seems that Ferguson was having a great birthday playing with the pups. “The presents that keep giving..” she wrote on Instagram.
