Here's Prince William & Kate Middleton's Anniversary Thank You Card Featuring a Never-Before-Seen Pic

You never know when you might open your mailbox and find a special letter that was sent by a member of the royal family.

That's what happened for a few lucky people who received a letter of thanks from Prince William and Kate Middleton for all the warm wishes on their tenth wedding anniversary. One recipient was @cherylsmilesx on Twitter, who showed off the card she got from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which included a portrait of the royal couple.

Cheryl shared the photo and said, “Thank you @KensingtonRoyal for the beautiful thank you photo of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge #10thanniversary.”

The portrait was a never-before-seen snap from the couple's anniversary photoshoot, and it was similar to an image that had been previously shared to the couple's joint Instagram account. In the earlier Instagram photo, the two were seen smiling while Prince William looked over at Kate, and the image was captioned, “10 years.”

Chris Floyd—a professional photographer who has shot celebs ranging from Cate Blanchett to Paul McCartney—took the commemorative photos for the royals.

While royal followers were thrilled to receive a special card from Kensington Palace, we've seen in the past that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sometimes give these types of things even more of a personal touch.

For instance, when Kate Middleton hid copies of her book Hold Still all over the U.K., those who discovered the volumes realized that they included a personal note written by the duchess herself.

Meanwhile, for those who are disappointed they didn't get a card in the mail, we at least have the chance to enjoy the rare family footage the couple shared to Instagram in honor of their anniversary.

Guess we better start sending more letters to Kensington Palace!
