I Just Realized Why 'The White Lotus' Star Aimee Lou Wood Looks Familiar—And I Can't Believe I Didn't Notice Sooner

It's so obvious

I'd bet my last dollar that you've probably heard of HBO's The White Lotus. It's one of the network's acclaimed series that follows the exploits of the guests and staff during a week spent at a luxury global resort hotel chain and while that may seem uneventful, it's anything but that. The show is currently in its third season (and has already been renewed for a fourth) and the cast is always stacked.

This season features an ensemble cast of familiar faces including Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sam Rockwell and more. But there's one actress where I couldn't quite put my finger on how I knew her—until now.

Aimee Lou Wood also stars in The White Lotus season three as Chelsea, a free spirit from Manchester traveling with her much older boyfriend. But, of course, that's not the first time I've seen her and I'm really surprised it took me up until one episode before the finale to pinpoint where.

Before her role in The White Lotus, Wood was on a Netflix television series called Sex Education. The show received critical accalim and ran for four seasons from 2019 until 2023. It follows the lives of the teenagers and adults in the fictional town of Moordale as they contend with various personal dilemmas, often related to sexual intimacy. Wood even won a British Academy Television Award for Best Female Comedy Performance for her role.

If you're wondering what else Wood appeared in, add Netflix's limited series Toxic Town, which hit the streamer back in February, to the list.

The White Lotus is streaming now on Max and catch Sex Education and Toxic Town on Netflix.
