Jennifer Lopez never fails to deliver show-stopping looks. At this year's Grammy Awards, the "Get Right" singer turned heads in a glittering see-through skirt. Then, she dazzled in a sultry two-piece while attending the opening night of Othello in New York. Now, the 55-year-old entrepreneur is stealing the show with yet another dramatic look, complete with a billowing cape.

Earlier this week, the actress stepped out for the opening night of Good Night, And Good Luck in New York to support her pal and former co-star, George Clooney, who made his Broadway debut. For the occasion, Lopez donned a strapless, black velvet gown by Saiid Kobeisy, featuring a plunging neckline. To elevate the look, she draped an oversized white caftan cape over her shoulders and accessorized with a statement necklace and drop earrings.

However, the star didn't keep her stylish cape on for the entire night. Several pics were captured without the statement cape, and she posed with a very special guest: her 17-year-old child, Emme.

The teen hit the red carpet in a classic black suit with a white shirt and patterned tie. Emme also accessorized with layered necklaces and black earrings.

Lopez shared a few candid shots from the event on Instagram, and fans couldn't stop gushing over the duo's coordinating looks. One fan commented, "Serving beauty, grace, and pure sophistication! Absolutely stunning." Another wrote, "Not only do the two of you look absolutely amazing, but the sincerity of the smiles that reflect in both of your eyes make this pic totally priceless."

J.Lo also brought Emme as her date to the Othello opening on Broadway in March. She shared a few highlights on Instagram and even referred to Emme as "the best date ever."

While Lopez wore a bedazzled two-piece, Emme donned a black and white pinstripe suit with a tie and silver accessories. In the comments, one fan wrote, "You guys are slaying."

Lopez has been quite vocal about her tight-knit bond with Emme, who has joined her for multiple events and even performed with her on stage. In 2022, when J.Lo introduced Emme with gender-neutral pronouns for the first time, the pair performed a cover of Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" at the Annual Blue Diamond Gala.

She said, "The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won't. So this is a very special occasion. They are very, very busy. Booked. And pricey! It costs me when they come out. But they're worth every single penny because they're my favourite duet partner of all time."
