Kerry Washington Advocates for ‘Adult’ Back-to-School Shopping in a Chic Denim Tube Top

Even though she's not in school anymore, Kerry Washington is still finding ways to celebrate the back-to-school season.

The 44-year-old actress took to her Instagram Story to show off a brand-new outfit, saying, “Because the kids shouldn't be the only ones who get back-to-school swag!” The Scandal star pulled the outfit from Levi's new collaboration with tennis pro Naomi Osaka, and she thanked the two in the same post, saying, “Thank you @levis and @naomiosaka—love you sis.”

Washington looked ready for a Victorian rodeo in the Levi x Naomi Osaka trucker bustier, which has a lace-up bodice that creatively combines multiple styles. Washington paired the stylish top with some high-rise jeans for an all-denim outfit that would surely make Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears proud.

And if you're wondering why Washington has school on the mind (besides, of course, being a mother of two), it's because the actress is prepping for the release of her new Netflix movie, The School for Good and Evil. The upcoming fantasy film is an adaptation of the YA book series of the same name, and Washington is set to play Professor Clarissa Dovey, the Dean of Good, in the movie.

Washington referenced the flick in a follow-up Instagram Story, where she thanked the director for her new sleek movie merch. “[And] thank you @paulfeig for my #SchoolForGoodAndEvil BLING,” she wrote over a video of herself flashing a fake class ring that ties in with the movie.

Washington has been showing off a lot of bling on her Instagram recently. Just a couple weeks ago, the actress suited up for Women's Equality Day, and we couldn't take our eyes off of the femme coin capsule necklace she wore from Aurate New York.

We're always taking fashion notes from you, Kerry.
