Ryan Seacrest is missing from today’s episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan. But luckily, Kelly Ripa brought in a familiar guest co-host: her husband, Mark Consuelos.
Today, producers shared their daily behind-the-scenes video on the show’s official Instagram account, which confirms that the Riverdale star is temporarily filling in for Seacrest.
In the clip, it’s hard to hear what’s being said because the live audience and music are extremely loud. But from what we can decode, the video begins with the show’s announcer, Deja Vu, introducing Consuelos as the surprise guest co-host.
Right on cue, Ripa and Consuelos are seen walking hand in hand onto the stage, where they make their way to their seats. (The actor even pulls the chair out for his wife like Seacrest does every morning.)
“Good morning!” Ripa says. “Monday, September 27, 2021. Filling in for Ryan today is Mark Consuelos.”
Ripa is wearing a flattering black pencil skirt, which she paired with a stunning gold blouse. While she hasn’t shared outfit details (at least not yet), we’re already scouring the internet for lookalike pieces.
The caption read, “We’re live now with guest cohost @instasuelos!”
This isn’t the first time Ripa has enlisted her husband to serve as a guest co-host during Seacrest’s absence. Just last week, Consuelos stepped in during an episode of Live. Producers shared a BTS video on Instagram, featuring the married couple making their way to their seats on stage.
