J.Lo's Latest Insta Gave Us a Rare Sneak Peek at Her Home (& OMG Look at All Those Shoes)

Over the weekend, Jennifer Lopez posted a gorgeous snap of her getting ready for the People’s Choice Awards. And while we certainly want to know more about the beautiful decor we see in the background—anyone know who’s in that glamorous black-and-white photo? What does she keep in those wood cabinets behind her?—the thing we really can’t stop staring at is the vast collection of heels scattered about the floor.

We count at least 15 pairs, though we’re willing to bet there are many, many more just out of frame. There are gold platforms, minimalist strappy sandals, black pumps covered in glittering stones and more than a few hot pink options lined up along the floor.

Based on the numerous and varied shoes and the handful of gowns hanging behind her, we’d guess J.Lo wasn’t entirely sure what she’d be wearing to attend the award show until the day of. (You can see a hint of even more options in her stylist Rob Zangardi’s Instagram post.)

We think she made a fabulous choice going with a voluminous, red Christian Siriano mini and some clear-and-beige pointed Gianvito Rossi pumps (an “Xmas Barbie” ensemble, as Lopez’s longtime hairstylist, Chris Appleton put it), but that doesn’t mean we don't still have some questions about the fluffy pink number left hanging on the rack...hopefully another look for another day.

J.Lo attended the socially distanced People’s Choice Awards (attendees were required to be tested for COVID-19 in advance and to stand at least six feet from one another) to accept the People’s Icon Award to celebrate all she’s accomplished as a singer, actress and dancer. Even though there was no live audience, nor could the triple-threat performer bring her family along with her, there were some surprise “guests” who chimed in with their words of congratulations.

Renée Zellweger, Nicole Kidman and two of Lopez’s children gave their love and support to the icon with a video tribute before Armie Hammer officially presented her with her award. Her acceptance speech touched on what an incredibly difficult year 2020 has been, and how it reinforced the importance of human connection for the performer.

“Helping each other, loving each other, being kind to each other. And the importance of that connection, that human touch and I realize it’s what I strive for in everything I do, to reach people, to touch people” she told viewers. “I believe that’s what we all want, shared experiences, to know that we're not in this alone. Your belief and your faith in me motivates me to keep going and sometimes when I’m tired or beaten down like a lot of us have been this year, it’s my family, my friends, my babies and my fans, you guys, who have lifted me up when I couldn't lift myself.”

Congrats to Lopez on her very well deserved Icon Award! Now, what’s a gal gotta do to be able to borrow a few pairs of those spectacular heels?
