Any time our mom packed us an Oatmeal Creme Pie as kids, we’d be beyond distracted in class, waiting for the lunch bell with bated breath. And now, we're distracted while writing this because a breakfast version of our favorite nostalgic treat is hitting shelves this winter: Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies Cereal.
The brand has teamed up with Kellogg’s to release its first ever treat-inspired cereal to celebrate the original Little Debbie snack cake’s 60th anniversary. It has oatmeal cookie cereal pieces made with cinnamon, nutmeg and molasses. The pieces are also covered in a creme-inspired frosting coating to simulate the flavor of its namesake.
You’ll be able to snag the small box at stores for $4 or the large box for $5.70 sometime this December. So, while we thank Santa for the early present, we’ll also be asking him if he can work a little magic to make Zebra Cake or Cosmic Brownie cereal happen. We’ll keep ya posted.
