Everything You Need to Know About Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale (Oh, and 20 Bestsellers You'll Want to Add to Cart)

Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale is almost here! FYI, this is a huge sale that we look forward to every year. Why? Because we can scoop up so many discounted pieces from our favorite brands (like Rag & bone jeans for $76 off and Tory Burch crossbody bags for almost $100 off). We know what you're thinking—give me all the details. Here's everything you need to know.

Plug it into your Google calendar now: This year's sale will kick off on July 28 and will run through August 8. (BTW, the sale isn't just online; you can score the same discounts when you shop in-store or in-store pick-up.) Also, if you're a Nordstrom cardholder, you can get early access to the sale on July 16 or earlier, depending on your cardholder status.

Everyone can preview the sale starting July 6, but you have to have a Nordstrom credit card to get early access to the discounts. That will automatically grant you membership to the Nordy Club, which allows you to earn two points for every dollar you spend through the retailer. Once you’re a cardholder, you’ll earn Icon, Ambassador or Influencer status depending on how much you spend—and you’ll get tiered early access to the sale as follows:

• Nordy Club Icon: July 12-27 early access
• Nordy Club Ambassador: July 14-27 early access
• Nordy Club Influencer: July 16-27 early access
• Everyone: July 28-August 8 Anniversary Sale

If you're not already a Nordy Club cardmember, you may not receive the earliest access to the sale, but if you sign up now, you'll automatically become the Influencer level, giving you access on July 16. Our suggestion? Sign up ASAP so you can reap all the benefits starting July 16 (and maybe even more during next year's sale).

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale typically includes deals on clothing and shoes for the whole family, as well as bags, jewelry, beauty products and home goods. And starting today, Nordstrom is offering a preview of ALL the sale items. You may be thinking, why does this matter if I can't buy anything yet? Well, because you can save items to your Wish List and add them to cart the minute you gain access, reducing your risk of that shirt you love selling out before you can snag it.
