How I Chose the Best Father’s Day Gifts

I—and my fellow contributors—took the quest to find the best Father’s Day gifts seriously. (After all, we all know how hard it can be to find something for dad’s day.) Some of the main criteria we looked at were:

  • Customer ratings: products needed a 4-star review or higher to make the list
  • Versatility: we wanted to make sure there was something for every father figure, regardless of what they’re interested in
  • Price: everyone has a different budget, and while we included a few splurges, we focused on items under $50 in particular
  • Practicality: at one point or another, we’ve all bought a gift for dad that he never ended up using. Every present on our list is something that’s designed to make his day easier, his wardrobe more stylish or simply bring a smile to his face

Graza

Our former food editor Taryn Pire reviewed this set of olive oils made from Picual variety olives in Spain, noting that “not only does pure Picual olive oil taste better than the old, cheap blends we’re used to...but they’re also bursting with beneficial polyphenols and antioxidants.” This set consists of two bottles: one called Drizzle, one called Sizzle.

"Peppery, vegetal and just spicy enough, Drizzle is best consumed raw," Pire decrees, noting that with Sizzle, "the flavor is more muted, and the oil is mellow, delicate, soft and ever so slightly sweet in flavor." She recommends that this oil is used in frying, sautéing, searing and roasting.

Why You Should Trust Us

PureWow's editors and writers have spent more than a decade shopping online, digging through sales and putting our home goods, beauty finds, wellness picks and more through the wringer—all to help you determine which are actually worth your hard-earned cash. From our PureWow100 series (where we rank items on a 100-point scale) to our painstakingly curated lists of fashion, beauty, cooking, home and family picks, you can trust that our recommendations have been thoroughly vetted for function, aesthetics and innovation. Whether you're looking for travel-size hair dryers you can take on-the-go or women’s walking shoes that won’t hurt your feet, we’ve got you covered.
