The eclipse season of summer 2026 connects two very different stories—the first eclipse in Leo highlighted those in high places misusing their voices and power with several key figures falling from grace. It was all about the visibility of the moment, and how we treat the people who make up our audience.
This week’s eclipse is quite different. A lunar eclipse always takes place on a full moon and represents a culmination of something. In the present case, that is the tension between the Pisces and Virgo areas of lives and a moment where Pisces makes a final point or closing argument before the jury, and each of us accepts the iteration of our story.
But this eclipse has more than one trick up its sleeve.
Mercury is extremely powerful currently. On Tuesday the 25th, it enters Virgo, the sign it both rules and is exalted in. Mercury is the mind, and in Virgo, it has many of its preferred tools. Discernment, analysis and an acuity for obsessive focus until understanding is achieved is all part of Mercury in Virgo’s gifts.
