- This week, we learned that Prince Charles wasn't the only member of the royal family who was diagnosed with the coronavirus. Prince William also battled the illness just around the same time as his father. On Monday, The Sun reported that the Duke of Cambridge was treated by doctors at his country home Anmer Hall in Norfolk back in April, though he decided to keep it a secret from the public.
- Shortly after the news broke, Kensington Palace confirmed William's diagnosis and also announced that Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis did not contract the virus. “KP have belatedly confirmed that Prince William did have coronavirus in April—Kate and the children did not,” British reporter Rebecca English tweeted.
- On Tuesday, we learned that we didn’t exactly get the whole story relating to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s birth. As it turns out, the public was made aware of the tiny royal’s arrival hours after he was actually born, at the request of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose to break tradition and keep Archie’s birth a secret, not announcing that the duchess was in labor until she, Harry and their baby were already safe at home.

- Turns out, Queen Elizabeth doesn’t mess around when it comes to her bed. The 94-year-old monarch has the third most expensive bed in the world and it currently resides at the queen’s main residence, Buckingham Palace. Known as the “Royal State Bed” by Savoir, the bed not only costs £125,000 (around $161,000), but it’s also a rare find, since only 60 editions were made.

- This week, in honor of Remembrance Day, a holiday that honors members of the Armed Forces who have died in the line of duty (think of it as the U.S. equivalent to Memorial Day), Queen Elizabeth (@TheRoyalFamily), Prince Charles (@ClarenceHouse), Kate Middleton and Prince William (@KensingtonRoyal) have all updated their profile photos on their Instagram and Twitter accounts. Not only were they taken at previous Remembrance Day services over the years, but they also feature the royals sporting the famous red poppy flower.
- Speaking of red poppies, on Tuesday, Princess Anne, 70, stepped out for a public appearance at the CambCol Labs in Littleport, England while donning a red poppy brooch. The royal family shared two photos from the event on its official Twitter account. The caption read, “Today The Princess Royal visited the staff at the @Camb_Col laboratories. While the scientists normally develop products that are used to dress wounds, HRH heard how they are now producing hand sanitizer instead, in response to the pandemic.”
- Prince Charles recently followed in Meghan Markle’s footsteps and sat down for a virtual chat with the editor-in-chief of British Vogue, Edward Enninful, to talk about the traditional skills in the British textile industry and creating more sustainable fashion. During the conversation, Charles joked with the EIC about his own fashion choices. “I thought I was like a stopped clock—I’m right twice every 24 hours. But…I’m very glad you think it has style. I mind about detail and color combinations,” he said during the convo.
