The proud grandma-to-be discusses the gift in a recent video for her YouTube series, Storytime with Fergie and Friends. “My daughter is called Beatrice, and she made me a buzzy bee boot. You can make a buzzy bee boot,” Ferguson says before warning, “but don’t go out walking in puddles with your buzzy bee boot on.”
Ferguson goes on to discuss Princess Beatrice’s many nicknames, adding, “Today I thought, since Beatrice is called Bea—to some people, not me, as I call her Beatrice—but this is for you my little Trixie Bell, my Beatrice, my bee, my buzzy little bee.”
While each video for Storytime with Fergie and Friends typically focuses on a classic fairytale, this particular clip is bee-themed in honor of Beatrice. Instead of reading a story, Ferguson walks viewers through decorating a honeycomb biscuit.
Ferguson posted the YouTube video back in May, just one week after Princess Beatrice confirmed that she and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are expecting their first child.
Buckingham Palace announced the exciting news in a statement, which read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year. The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
