Last night’s episode of The Bachelor dropped several bombshells, but we can’t get over the fact that Peter Weber’s mom, Barb, wasn’t talking about Madison Prewitt when she cried, “Bring her home.”
Here’s what you need to know: For weeks, fans have been trying to figure out who Barb is talking about, since ABC featured the scene in, like, every single promo. Before yesterday, we were pretty confident that she was talking about Madison, who predictably self-eliminated in last night’s finale.
But that wasn’t the case. Instead, Barb was actually crying about Hannah Ann, who apparently made a fantastic first impression on Weber’s family. Not only did Barb call her an “angel on earth,” but she also broke down in tears when the pilot implied that he wants to choose Madison.
“Madison is a lovely, sweet girl. But Hannah Ann is an angel on earth,” she said. “A mother’s intuition is never wrong.”
Surprised is a total understatement, considering Hannah Ann has flown under the radar ever since she received the First Impression rose in episode one. Buzzfeed’s Brett S. Vergara gave a spot-on explanation of how we’re feeling, providing a list of people that he thought Barb was talking about…followed by Hannah Ann.
Chris Harrison keeps saying that fans have no idea what to expect in the two-part conclusion. For the first time ever, maybe he’s actually right.
Part two of The Bachelor finale airs tonight, March 10, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
