Did Peter’s Mom Just Spill the Beans About Who Wins ‘The Bachelor?’

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

In season 27, episode seven of The Bachelor, Peter Weber whittled his dating pool down to four women and sent two totally unsuspecting ladies packing. First, he whisked Madison, “a total catch” in his words, away on a fishing day trip in Lima, Peru. Sparks flew, fish were caught and Madison secured a rose for herself after a night of dinner and dancing.

Natasha wasn’t so lucky. The 31-year-old event planner did finally get her one-on-one date, but before the night was over, Peter sent her home because their connection just wasn’t strong as it was with the others.

Kelsey received the next one-on-one date card and did her best to look cute while driving a four-wheeler and hiking up a very steep hill. Like Madison, she too received a rose and the promise of a hometown visit.

Lastly, on a disaster three-on-one date, overconfident Kelley (in case you forgot, she’s “an attorney”) was sent home and spiraling Victoria F. and Hannah Ann (and her middle-school-esque love note) remained.

With four women left, we’re left to wonder who will make it through hometowns. Thanks to the episode eight promo, we can’t help but feel like Madison takes the final rose.

Why? Well, it all has to do with a very emotional plea from Peter’s mom. We’ve seen this little meltdown in previous promos, but within the context of last night’s episode, it seems there may be a tiny clue about who she’s referring to.

In the last seconds of the teaser, Peter’s mom cries, “Don’t let her go. Don’t let her go! That’s what love stories are made out of and God has placed her there for you. Bring her home, bring her home to us.”

Sure, she could be talking about anyone, but the fact that Madison opened up about her unwavering faith and the importance it holds in this process for her may be the reason Peter’s mom makes an allusion to a divine plan.

There’s some evidence that Madison may pull away as the fantasy suite episode draws near. For one, she’s saving herself for marriage and Peter doesn’t know. Secondly, she outwardly says, “If he sleeps with anyone else, it’s going to be hard for me to move forward.” Ultimately, Peter admits he is intimate with another contestant, so hypothetically Madison could leave the show before he gets a chance to propose and his mom could encourage him to patch things up with her. Thus far, Madison is also the only woman his family has met, so it all adds up…unless Hannah Brown shows up again.

So, will it be happily ever after for Peter and Madison? We’ll have to wait and see when The Bachelor returns with another dose of drama next Monday, February 17, at 8 p.m. PT/ET.
