Meghan Markle Just Got a Birthday Shoutout Alongside a Striking New Portrait

Happy birthday, Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Sussex turns 44 today and while she’s kept things pretty quiet on social media today, that didn’t stop her lifestyle brand, As Ever, from doing a little celebrating of its own.

Alongside a black-and-white photo of Meghan strolling through a sun-drenched field in a breezy dress and hat, the brand’s Instagram account shared a heartfelt message.

“Celebrating the woman behind it all. She pours her heart, vision & magic touch into every detail, and today, we raise a glass to her! Happy birthday to our founder.” They topped off the caption with champagne glass emojis and a tag for the Suits alum herself.

The birthday tribute comes just a day after the brand teased its latest drop: a new vintage of Meghan’s signature rosé wine. In a short Instagram video posted August 3, Meghan is seen walking through a lush garden with a basket of wine bottles, captioned simply, “Coming soon.”

As for the royal family? There’s been radio silence on social media from King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Catherine—a move some had expected might change this year. Former royal butler Grant Harrold on behalf of Heart Bingo previously told PureWow that public birthday wishes from the King and Queen wouldn’t be surprising, and that “Catherine might do it on behalf of her and William.”

Of course, just because nothing’s been posted online doesn’t mean messages weren’t sent privately. If I had to guess, I'd say she's enjoying the day with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
