If you’re anything like me, the rush to nab the latest drop from Meghan Markle’s As Ever brand is real. Last Friday, at 11 a.m. ET, the Duchess of Sussex unveiled a summer collection—a mix of new arrivals and restocked favorites, flower sprinkles made famous on her Netflix show included—and I picked up a couple of pieces. (The apricot spread was top of the list given how much I loved the raspberry offering from As Ever’s debut.) But there was also some exciting product news: On July 1, Meghan is launching wine.

It’s a new product category for the duchess, though it’s long been anticipated that Meghan would eventually offer booze as part of her lifestyle brand. The varietal? Napa Valley Rosé. The description, according to an email sent out to As Ever subscribers, reads: “With soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality and a lasting finish, this bespoke blend is launching just in time for summer entertaining.” The label also appears to feature Meghan’s signature calligraphy—a skill she picked up as a side hustle during her early days as an actress. (Once again, there’s a time stamp for eager shoppers—11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT, so save the date.)

Meghan’s foray into wine does make sense. Before her royal days, her personal brand was long synonymous with it given that her website, The Tig, was named after Tignanello, the Italian Super Tuscan red that yielded what she defined as an a-ha or “Tig moment.” Meghan once described her experience of taking that first sip: “It was my first moment of getting it—I finally understood what people meant by the body, structure, finish, legs of wine. The Tig is my nickname for me getting it. Not just wine, but everything.”

Will Meghan’s wine offer a similar experience? Will it sell out as quickly as her first two As Ever product drops did? (According to InStyle, all eight products offered in the summer collection were gone within four hours on Friday.)

Either way, you know I’ll be saving the date to try it out.
