Prince Harry may have gotten some disappointing news, but he can rest assured that his partner in crime, Meghan Markle, will always have his back.

In case you missed the update, the Duke of Sussex issued an appeal to reinstate his state-funded U.K. security, but unfortunately, it was dismissed. Just a day after the news got out, Markle responded with a sweet tribute to her husband and shared a captionless, black-and-white family photo. In the pic, the duke walks hand-in-hand with Archie, 5, as 3-year-old Lilibet sits on his shoulders, and the happy trio is seen strolling through what appears to be the garden of their home.

Her post comes just a few days after the release of her candid interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, where she gushed about her husband's leadership and how he protects the family.

She said, "I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Bros. When you get to the final level and they go, 'Slay the dragon, save the princess.' I'm like, 'That's my husband.' He's constantly going to do whatever he can to make sure that our family is safe and protected, and we're uplifted and still make time for date nights."

Except for her IG post, Markle has kept silent after her husband lost the appeal. However, Prince Harry sat down for a rare interview with the BBC, noting that he was  “devastated” by the court's decision. He opened up about how this will affect his family, saying, “I can’t see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point. The things that they’re going to miss is, well, everything.”

He continued. “I miss the U.K., I miss parts of the U.K., of course I do. I think that it’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland.”

The duke also published a statement on his official website and wrote, "The U.K. is my birthplace and will always be part of who I am. It is a place I love, and the country where my son was born. I've only ever wanted to continue my charitable work in supporting the causes and people that mean so much to me, and for my children to know the beauty of my homeland. I remain committed to a life of public service."
