Katie Holmes Gets Candid About Her All-Time Favorite Holiday Tradition

When it comes to the holidays, Katie Holmes is all about nostalgic traditions.

The Dawson’s Creek star, 41, recently sat down for an exclusive interview with PureWow, where she shared details about what she has planned for the holiday season. When asked about her annual traditions, Holmes admitted that she keeps it pretty simple: “Cooking dinner and decorating my home.”

However, there’s one special ritual that she and her daughter, Suri Cruise (14), do every year without fail. “We have an annual tradition of making holiday cupcakes!” Holmes said. “No seasonal celebration would be complete without some festive treats and, of course, a glass of wine.” Where do we sign up?

Holmes went on to explain that the tradition began during her childhood, adding, “Growing up, my sisters and I would always make holiday cupcakes, so I love carrying that tradition on today.”

Holmes is currently promoting her partnership with Meiomi Wines, which is geared toward giving back this holiday season. “It’s been a year like no other, but my family and I have found new ways to stay connected in these times,” she said. “Whether it’s facetiming more often, or something simple but fun like a shared holiday playlist, we’re making the most of the situation and showing gratitude for the little things.”
