Gabrielle Union Stuns in Wine-Colored Dress That She Claims Gives ‘Teen Movie Villain’ Vibes

When we hear the name Gabrielle Union, we usually associate her with the many classic teen movies she starred in during the late ’90s/early 2000s, like She's All That, 10 Things I Hate About You and Bring It On. Otherwise, we think of the 49-year-old's stunning outfits and the strong sense of style that runs throughout her family.

With her latest Instagram post, Union has combined these two things. The actress shared a slideshow of three photos, where she is pictured lounging on a couch in a wine-colored, cut-out dress. In her caption, she said, “Just Chillin' Like A Villain In A 90's Teen Movie. Naturally.”

The Dual Paisley Bound Dress is from the Christopher Esber brand, and it features asymmetric cutouts along the back waist and chest areas. The one-shoulder, bodycon design was paired with a golden choker necklace, and in the last pic, we can see that Union is sporting a pair of beige-colored sandals as well.

Makeup artist Sam Fine thought Union's caption was quite fitting, saying, “The only thing missing is cover credits!” Actress Aisha Hinds also felt nostalgic looking at Union's outfit, commenting, “Hip Dimples for the 99’s and 2000’s!!!! Come on adonis belt.” Meanwhile, Chilean photographer Nino Muñoz thought the Bring It On star would fit in well in a different type of movie, writing, “James Bond film.”

The outfit was put together by Union's frequent stylist, Thomas Christos Kikis, along with the help of Sydney Engelhart. Her tight bun was constructed by hairstylist Larry Jarah Sims, using Union's Flawless by GU haircare products. Finally, artist Tasha Reiko Brown did the actress's makeup.

Guess it's time to start channeling our inner ’90s teen movie villain (especially when it looks this good).
