Bachelor Peter Weber Says He Doesn’t Believe There’s Just One Soulmate for Him

Chris Harrison wasn’t just being dramatic last night—Peter Weber confirmed he actually doesn’t know how his season of The Bachelor ends yet. Wait, what?

It’s true: The 28-year-old pilot’s romantic fate is still up in the air. He told Entertainment Tonight reporter Lauren Zima (aka Harrison’s girlfriend), “Things are…they continue to unfold until the very last second. And I don’t know when that last second occurred.” Cryptic, huh?

We caught wind of this deviation from the Bachelor norm when Harrison ended the Bachelor: Women Tell All special by saying that not even Weber knows how the season ends (instead of his go-to “most dramatic season finale ever” line). A Bachelor producer also eluded to the fact that the finale hadn’t technically been shot yet. Now, some fans are wondering if Weber will pull an Arie Luyendyk Jr. and propose on After the Final Rose or if he’ll end the season engaged then arrive at the Bachelor post-mortem single.

Mum continued to be the word for Weber who said, “You guys will see. There’s only so much I can say.”

He did add one interesting little detail. “All I can say is, again, it was the toughest, toughest last week of my life and you’ll see what that means,” he told Zima. (It kinda sounds like he died and came back to life, but we’re guessing that was just a grammar flub.)

The only other time something like this has happened and a Bachelor didn’t know how his season would end was when, in 2009, Jason Mesnick asked Molly Malaney to give him another chance (after he broke up with final pick Melissa Rycroft) on live TV.

The one thing that’s for sure? Weber says he doesn’t believe there’s just one soulmate for him: “I’ve always been a firm believer that the heart wants what it wants, and I think this experience for sure has shown me that there’s not just one soulmate out there. I think at some point in my life, I used to think that, and I’ve definitely been able to give my heart to more than one person.”

When asked if he’s with his soulmate now, he replied, “I hope so. I sure hope so. That’d be great.”

OK, anyone else even more confused? The Bachelor kicks off its two-part series finale Monday, March 9, at 8 p.m. PT/ET and we couldn’t be more excited.
