When it comes to Joanna Gaines's style, there are certain hallmarks to expect: her particular shade of off-white (it's not eggshell, not ecru—it's sour cream), dainty florals, a patinated brass accent. Long gone are the days of shiplap and oversized wall clocks—though they have their place in her modern farmhouse era—and every season, she debuts a few subtle shifts, while staying true to her clean-lined yet rustic foundation.

This season is no different, and as Gaines debuted new summer collections in both of her Magnolia and Hearth and Hand with Magnolia lines, three trends stood out. The dusty blue she debuted in spring was still there, albeit less so; now, she was leaning into the bounty of summer berries, extending her love of botanical prints to patterns featuring berries off the vine. Similarly, she put her own stamp on two other trending styles: cabana stripes and whimsical accents. She's romanticizing the everyday in an elevated way, and you can see it firsthand in the chic picks below.

Hailey Bieber may have popularized Strawberry Girl Summer back in 2023 in the beauty sphere, and three years later, it's extending into home. Given the berry is at its peak in spring to early summer, it's a natural fit for a summer collection launch, and Gaines honors that history by leaning into its timeliness—and timelessness. These cross-stitch napkins have an heirloom quality to them; they feel like something treasured from your grandmother's kitchen.

Gaines sells several takes on a ceramic berry dish, but this set of three—with a more sculptural, yet not too twee shape—takes them from something you store in your fridge to a display-worthy addition to a brunch or cookout tablescape. You could place one at every place setting, filled with fresh berries, a dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of honey, or place a few in the center of the table, along with a charcuterie board, encouraging grazing.

If you're looking to update your wall art from the traditional still life, look no further. This print provides a vintage feel and homespun flair, whether you mix it into a gallery wall or lean it on a shelf.

4. Soft-Sided Cooler

This soft-sided cooler has been trending at Target since it launched, and it's easy to see why. Beyond being practical (it's easy to wipe clean and, at 12 by 16 inches, roomy enough to hold lunch for a family of four), it's stylish. Cabana stripes have been on the rise for the past few summers, but what makes Gaines's take stand out is her toffee-and-cream colorway. It softens the boldness of the pattern, making it interesting, yet not jarring.

5. Oversized Beach Towel

Made of cotton terry fabric, this oversized beach towel is great for laying out on, but it also dries quickly, so you're not hauling a 20-pound, soggy cover-up with you as you trek back to your car.

6. 18-Inch Square Throw Pillow

Target has sold more than 1,000 of these pillows in the past month, underscoring the popularity of this understated look. It's clean, it's simple—it just works. Especially as a pair on either end of an outdoor sofa.

"Whimsy" is the prevailing theme of TikTok this year, as people look for ways to add glimmers of joy to their everyday lives. You can see flourishes of that throughout Gaines's Magnolia line, in particular, like with this brass duck. Do you need it? No. Will it make you smile every time you pass by it? Absolutely.

While you can choose between two poses, why choose? Can't both find a place on your shelf? That duck would be awfully lonely by itself.

8. Mushroom Table Lamp

This mushroom style nods at cottagecore, but in its sour cream or blue tone, it feels more objet d'art than kitschy trinket.

Gaines has woven scalloped edges into her collections for a while now, and she does so in a way that lightens up hefty ceramics. It's a distinct balance that puts a delicate spin on a classic, making it feel fresh without skewing precious.
