My Overnight Guests Can’t Stop Fighting Over My Burrow Span Sleeper Sofa—and It’s 35 Percent Off for Cyber Week

As couches go, this one’s a stunner. It’s clean, modern and looks incredibly high-end—you’d never know it came prepackaged in a box. I went with the standard two-seater in a deep blue shade, which turned out to be surprisingly neutral given its bold hue. I also love that the darker fabric hides a multitude of sins, from dog hair and mud-stained paws to baby spit-up. Plus, the material is super durable, holding up impressively well to my dog’s daily habit of scratching. Without being too bulky or in the way, I love how the two-seater configuration frames our large picture window, creating a convenient sitting area in our multi-use playroom/office/hang out spot—making it the perfect place to cozy up with a cup of coffee while my infant babbles away on his playmat.

While the Burrow Span Sleeper gets an A+ for design, it could use some work in the comfort department. In my opinion, this isn’t the kind of couch you want to sink into for an all-night movie marathon. With the cushions leaning more stiff and supportive than plush and cozy, it’s a sitting sofa—great for conversation and short hangs. Nevertheless, it has a generous seat depth and, depending on which guest I talked to, I got mixed feedback on the overall comfort level. While my sister-in-law thought it was quite hard, my older parents raved about how much easier it was to stand up from compared to my other softer sectional.

Converting the Burrow Span Sleeper Sofa from a couch to a bed (and back again) could not be easier. Simply remove the two back cushions, grab the inside handles on the seat and pull the bottom out onto the floor—voila, a queen-size bed! No temperamental springs or stiff metal hardware to contend with thanks to the all-foam design. Similar to the couch’s comfort level, our overnight guests (both single sleepers and couples) said the sofa’s mattress was on the firmer side, but that it grew more comfortable over time and provided a pleasant night’s sleep with minimal motion transfer. On the heels of a repeat visit, one cousin said it best in the group chat: “I call dibs on the couch!”

Once the company cleared, I had a chance to test drive the sleeper myself. Newly postpartum and so very sleep-deprived, mid-day naps were my saving grace. While I agree the mattress cushioning is on the firmer end of the spectrum, I found it to be supportive and spacious.
