What’s New at Kroger? 11 Products to Add to Your List, According to Our Food Editors
Ready your carts, shoppers

1. Hatch Green Chile Kettle Style Tortilla Chips
“I don’t have a photo because these were devoured that fast,” PureWow VP of editorial Candace Davison admits. “Hatch green chile powder gives these chips a slight kick that pairs wonderfully with creamy dips and is a nice contrast to sweeter salsas. But honestly, they’re so snackable on their own, and they don’t break easily.”
2. Kroger Protein Penne Pasta
“I’ve tried plenty of pasta alternatives over the years, and they often break down to a mealy texture or have a slightly ‘off’ taste that distracts from the meal,” Davison says. “This pasta is the closest I’ve found to tasting like traditional penne, only it boasts 11 grams of protein per serving.”
3. Private Selection Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
“If you see these, just buy them,” Davison raves. “Don’t give it a second thought. The dark chocolate is such a rich, decadent foil for the creamy peanut butter, and it’s not too sugary, like traditional peanut butter cups. Trader Joe’s, watch the throne!”
4. Kroger Summer Ice Cream Collection
“Neapolitan wishes it could be this combo,” Davison says. “Vanilla, chocolate and coffee ice creams swirl together for a pint [called Poolside Tan Lines] that’s made for iced coffee and Frappuccino fans. It’s one of four new summer pints, including a blood orange sherbet studded with popping candy (called Italian-Style Summer Fizz), that are all worth a closer look.” There’s also Fireside Nights, a toasted marshmallow ice cream with a glittery orange swirl and s’mores pieces, and Sandy Shore, a blue coconut ice cream with salty pretzel crunch.
5. Kroger Meal Ready Sides Corn Ribs
This vegan side of TikTok fame has never been easier to put on the table. Precut and begging to be seasoned with garlic butter, honey, chipotle mayo or elote fixings, these corn ribs are ready to grill, roast, bake or boil right out of the bag.
6. Private Selection Fire Roasted Poblano Ranch Salad Dressing
Tangy with buttermilk, smoky with roasted chiles and delightfully herby, this spicy spin on ranch dressing checks all the boxes (and will make you actually want to eat your veggies). Slather it on sandwiches, dip crudités in it, drizzle it over pizza or toss a salad in the stuff.
7. Private Selection Classic Coleslaw Dressing
The essential barbecue side is even simpler to prepare with this catch-all condiment. Made with a vinegary, mayo-y base, it can dress up shredded kale, cabbage or even Brussels sprouts in a flash. There are also German, Spicy Southern and Polynesian iterations to try, in case classic isn’t your style.
8. Kroger Sweet & Smoky Flavor Kettle Cooked Baked Beans
Another cookout essential, made completely fuss-free. This new Kroger product includes bits of hickory-smoked brisket, along with brown sugar and molasses for a savory-sweet flavor profile that complements everything from mac and cheese to hot dogs.
10. Kroger Caribbean Jerk Marinade
Feeling like shrimp tacos? Slather the shellfish in this zingy mix of papaya purée, papaya juice, chiles, Worcestershire sauce, allspice and tamarind. Consider it a taste of that Caribbean getaway you’ve been dreaming about, minus the flight.
11. Kroger Farm-Raised Atlantic Salmon Portions Cedar Plank
Ready to bake or grill to succulent, flaky perfection. The plank adds nuance and smoky splendor to the salmon, making it a gamechanger for impromptu cookouts and summer dinner parties. Pair it with rice, corn or roasted potatoes.
