I had the immense pleasure of tasting Smashburger’s newest menu items a couple months back. The spicy crispy chicken sandwich, All-American Smash and Scorchin’ Hot Tots were some of my favorites, as expected. But what I didn’t see coming was the sweet-and-salty splendor of the salted caramel milkshake. It was rich, lush in texture and generously salted (which I respect, since oftentimes “salted” means a weak dusting of flaky salt on top and nothing more). That’s why I’m beyond psyched for the fast-casual chain’s Shake Happy Hour.

From May 2 to July 31, you’ll be able to sip on half-price shakes every Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. All you need to do to snag the deal—whether you order online, on the app or in store, is use the code SHAKES25 before you buy.

Not only will you get to savor a delicious discount, but there are also two new shakes on the menu that are only available for a limited time. (That means get ’em while you can, folks.) One is the Banana Shake, made with Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream and banana purée. The other, the Banana Chocolatey Chip Shake, is the same, only with the addition of Denali chocolatey chips blended in and sprinkled on top. Both are finished with a whipped cream crown, because of course.

If banana isn’t your vibe, consider the rest of the menu. There are classic selections, like chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, as well as fancier picks, like salted caramel, peanut butter cookie (I adored the crunchy cookie bits on top; Nutter Butters are grossly underrated, IMO) and cookies and cream.

If you’re not feeling like ice cream at all—no judgment, I guess—there are always fries and handhelds to fall back on. Might I suggest the Spicy Jalapeño Smash for people who like it hot? (It’s me, I’m people.)
