I’m continually impressed with Sonic’s food. In taste tests for the best fast food chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches and fries (phew!), the chain ranked consistently high. That said, Sonic is arguably most beloved for its over-the-top sodas, slushes and milkshakes. (I’m an Ocean Water girl myself.) The latest sipper to join its roster is perhaps the most extravagant to date. Behold: the Unicorn Dreams Slush.

The Unicorn Dreams Slush is a bright pink, cotton candy-flavored slushy, dappled with “magical flavor bubbles” (aka blue raspberry bursting bubbles—think popping boba). For extra whimsy, it’s crowned with a towering cloud of whipped topping and a dusting of shiny, pink cotton candy sugar crystals. Even better, it’ll only cost you $4 to taste the magic.

As if that wasn’t enticing enough, you can pair the slush with an epic drinking utensil, the Legendary Wish-Awakening Unicorn Horn Straw. Served free with the slush, the straw is shaped like a swirly unicorn horn and comes in four different iterations. Purists can opt for the Frost Blue Glitter, while night owls who head to Sonic on late-night snack runs should choose the glow-in-the-dark variety. As for folks who want to see the magic in real time with every sip, go for either of the color-changing straws, which transform from white to pink or green to blue.
The slush is available on the Sonic app right now. But if you want it bundled with one of the straws, you’ll have to head there on May 5 to snag one while supplies last. If you’re worried the cotton candy-inspired bev will be too sweet for you, consider the chain’s other new drink, the Strawberry Mangonada Slush. It’s a delectable mix of strawberry and mango slushies, topped with tangy, sour, slightly spicy Tajín.
