It’s hard not to love Jennifer Garner’s “Pretend Cooking Show,” an unofficial Instagram series where the actress cooks or bakes easy recipes in her own kitchen. (My favorite episodes star her very endearing mom, like the one where they make peach chiffon pie, but I digress.) In her latest installment, you’ll notice she uses a specific Bundt pan that you’ll want to add to your Amazon cart ASAP.
This Pan Is the Secret to Jennifer Garner’s Gorgeous Cakes (and It’s on Sale)
Bundt, anyone?

In the Instagram video, she can be seen making a whipped cream cake recipe by @realbakingwithrose. She bakes it in Nordic Ware’s Anniversary Bundt. The bottom of the cake gets stuck to the pan, but the ever-charming Garner picks out the pieces and sets them atop the cake to cobble it back together. With a dusting of confectioners’ sugar, it’s good as new.
“Taste trumps beauty when I’m the baker,” she writes in the video’s caption, “and when the recipe is by @realbakingwithrose from her beautifully revised The Cake Bible, no one seems to mind. Mistakes = the baker’s piece = lucky me!”
For the uninitiated, Nordic Ware is a brand beloved by bakers of all skill levels. This pan in particular is an updated version of the O.G., namely due to the detailing that makes desserts easier to cut and serve. Its narrow base, straight sides, helper handles and roomy center tube are designed to accommodate 10- to 15-cup recipes. Best of all, it’s made from cast aluminum, so it’ll last for the long haul.
Bundt cakes have been around since 1950. The round, fluted tube pan allows more of the batter to make contact with the edges, evenly dispersing heat with every bake. If you’re in the market for a smaller pan, there’s the 6-Cup Anniversary Bundt. If mini desserts are your thing, look no further than the Anniversary Bundtlette pan, which features a muffin tin-like design that holds six tiny Bundt cakes.
So, what’s it gonna be: snickerdoodle chocolate chunk or cardamom cream?
