Taylor Swift Celebrates Brittany Mahomes in New Photo (But I Can't Stop Staring At This Detail)

Fresh off her engagement to Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift is still riding high on the good vibes. But this time, the celebration wasn’t about her—though we wouldn’t blame her for toasting to her own wins (hi, new Spotify record holder). Instead, she took a moment to shine the spotlight on someone else close to her: Brittany Mahomes.

Brittany—aka the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (the same team Travis plays for)—just rang in her 30th birthday in full glam mode. She gave fans a peek into the festivities with a carousel of pics on Instagram, showing off everything from boats to brunch to late-night martinis with friends.

And buried deep in the photo dump (slide 17, to be exact), was a gem of a photo featuring none other than Taylor Swift herself. (See the photo here.)

In the shot, Taylor leans her head affectionately on Brittany’s shoulder. Both are rocking sleeveless black tops, with matching martinis in front of them. Brittany is glowing, while Taylor throws the camera a cheeky grin.

Brittany kept the caption short and sweet, writing “THIRTY”, with a white heart emoji.

But let’s rewind to Taylor for a second, specifically, her necklace in the photo. If it looks familiar, that’s because it appears to be the same "T" necklace she wore (around her thigh) to the 2025 Grammy Awards earlier this year.

At that event, the "So High School" singer paired the chain with a Chiefs-red sequin mini dress by Vivienne Westwood, featuring a corseted bodice, dramatic one-shoulder detail and a thigh-high slit.

Fans have long assumed the necklace is a sweet nod to Travis Kelce, especially considering the lyrics from Taylor’s song Call It What You Want, where she sings, “I want to wear his initial / On a chain round my neck.”

Whether it’s a subtle tribute to her now fiancé or just a favorite piece in rotation, I have to say: the necklace is giving.
