Simone Biles’s Red Carpet Look at Last Night’s VMAs Deserved a Gold Medal

Simone Biles had a very special role at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards, and she made sure to look the part.

The 24-year-old gymnast attended the awards show last night in NYC, where she hit to stage to introduce performer Doja Cat. For the occasion, Biles opted for a stunning pastel pink gown with one shoulder strap and a thigh-high slit. The Olympian paired the ensemble with hoop earrings and strappy heels.

Lucky for us, Biles shared some snaps of her red carpet look on her personal Instagram account. The first shot featured Biles showing off the back of the dress and smiling over her shoulder, while her long beachy waves ran down her back. The second image showed a close-up of the athlete and highlighted her matching glam. “2021 VMA’s,” the caption read.

The post received over 500 thousand likes and almost 3,000 comments from fans, family and friends. In fact, fellow Team USA member Jordan Chiles, wrote, “Slay queeeeeeeeennnnnnn,” and gymnast McKayla Maroney commented, “Beautiful.”

Of course, Biles’s boyfriend, Jonathan Owens, even chimed in, adding a flame and heart emoji.

This wasn’t Biles's first time attending the annual event (although she did say she was a bit nervous.) Back in 2016, she attended the awards with "The Final Five" members of the Olympic gymnastics team, including Aly Raisman, Madison Kocian and Laurie Hernandez.
