Love was definitely in the air for athlete Simone Biles and her fiancé, Jonathan Owens, who practically broke the PDA-meter in their new couple photos shared on Valentine’s Day.
Yesterday, the 25-year-old gymnast posted a new photo slideshow on her Instagram profile, giving a glimpse into their romantic evening. The first pic shows Owens, 27, lovingly dipping Biles and kissing her.
In the candid pic, Biles dons an orange spaghetti strap dress and clear chunky heels. Meanwhile, Owens sports a colorful shirt with denim ripped jeans and a pair of sneakers. And the next photo taken shows the pair posing and smiling for a quick snap. “Happy valentines day [heart on fire emoji] to many more sweet days with you baby. @jowens,” Biles wrote in the caption.
Her followers shared their love and admiration for the couple in the comments section. One person wrote underneath the post, “Happy Valentine’s Day to you two lovebirds!!” Another said, “So happy to see you happy.” Even Owens came across the post and commented, “Blessed to be your valentine. So thankful for you baby,” alongside a bunch of red heart emojis.
This year’s Valentine’s Day was more than just a romantic occasion for the couple—the holiday also marked their one-year anniversary since they announced their engagement on social media. Back in February 2022, Biles shared a photo slideshow on her personal Instagram profile, showing the moment Owens popped the big question.
The array of photos feature shots taken from the exact moment Owens proposed in a gazebo. “THE EASIEST YES,” Biles wrote. “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! Let's get married, FIANCÉ.”
