Last night, Lamar took the stage for the Super Bowl LIX halftime show, which featured a special cameo by the tennis star, 43, doing an impressive crip walk and jamming to “Not Like Us.” The cameo prompted multiple people—including Venus Williams and Alexis Ohanian—to share tributes on social media in honor of Serena.
Venus reposted a video of the performance on her Instagram Story and gave a special shout-out to Serena. She wrote, “Lil sis killing it.”
Serena’s husband also chimed in with a subtle tribute on X, writing, “Pretty fantastic halftime show.”
Serena celebrated her Super Bowl appearance on Instagram by sharing a backstage video of herself getting ready for her surprise appearance. She even teased a few dance moves while a makeup artist applied blush.
“Let’s go Super Bowl halftime??!” she wrote. “I died a little!”
The 2025 Super Bowl took place at the Caesar’s Superdome in Louisiana, which is home to the New Orleans Saints. During the game, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in a primarily one-sided showdown. As a result, many fans were disappointed by the lack of PDA moments between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who didn’t reunite on the field as expected.
