Details on Taylor Swift’s Body Language at the Super Bowl (& What It Says About Her Relationship with Travis Kelce)

Are you ready for it?

When Taylor Swift attended last year's Super Bowl, she stole the show with her meaningful jewelry and crystal-embellished jeans. I fully expected her to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, in Super Bowl LIX (even if Kelce’s brother, Jason, has mixed feelings). But I never expected her to display such mysterious body language during the biggest NFL game of the season.

Today, the “Blank Space” singer, 35, attended Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, where the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles. If you look past her casual outfit, you’ll notice that Swift showed a major shift in body language.

When she arrived at the stadium, Swift was calm, cool and collected. She even addressed the media while walking to her suite.

But throughout the game, Swift seemed more on edge than usual. Not only did she give side eye to the cameras (pictured above), but she also covered her mouth while talking to Ice Spice so no one could read her lips. Her shoulders were slightly slouched, indicating she was irritated.

This could be interpreted as a bad thing, but I see it as the exact opposite. I think Swift is looking forward to what’s to come after the Super Bowl, since she and Kelce will be able to enjoy their relationship in private. Perhaps she’s getting fed up with the never-ending attention. Or maybe she’s nervous about the outcome of the game.

Regardless, she knows that this will be her last NFL outing for a while—and she’s not mad about it.

Super Bowl LIX was exclusively broadcast on Fox. Halftime entertainment was provided by Kendrick Lamar. Although he previously appeared at Super Bowl LVI with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige, this was his first time as a solo headliner.

Cue the Swift/Kelce engagement rumors.
