Travis Kelce Was Asked If He Plans to Propose to Taylor Swift (& I Definitely Didn’t Expect This Response)

Are those wedding bells I hear?

It's been over a year since Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift confirmed their budding romance. The two lovebirds have been mutually supportive, with Kelce showing up at her Eras Tour in the middle of football season and Swift cheering him on at his games. Just last week, the "Bad Blood" singer was all smiles as she celebrated the Chiefs' major victory against the Buffalo Bills, which earned them a spot at this Sunday's Super Bowl. Now, people are wondering: Will the NFL star propose to Swift after the big game?

On Monday, February 3, reporters posed this question at the Super Bowl LIX Opening Night event in New Orleans, and guys, the Chiefs tight-end didn't deny the speculation. Rather, with a smile, he offered a clever, vague response and said, “Wouldn’t you like to know.”

During the press conference, Kelce was also asked if his girlfriend's work ethic has inspired him on the field. His response? "I better hold up my end of the bargain. She's up there being the superstar that she is and never taking no for an answer and always working her tail off. I better match that energy for sure."

In addition, the athlete gushed about Swift's cooking skills and mentioned his favorite recipe that she makes. He said, "Oh, she's quite the cook. I'm a breakfast guy, man. I would say her homemade Pop-Tarts are unbelievable."

Kelce's recent comments come just a few days after Swift paid a subtle tribute to her boyfriend on the Grammys red carpet. The "Shake It Off" singer donned a stunning red dress with a thigh-chain, featuring a sparkly red 'T' charm to represent his first initial.

While it hasn't been confirmed if Swift will appear at the Super Bowl on Sunday, it's very likely, considering her track record (and the fact that her record-breaking Eras Tour has ended). In addition to attending the Chiefs game in January, she has shown up at previous games against the Texans, the Las Vegas Raiders, the Denver Broncos and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

At this year's Super Bowl, the Chiefs are one step closer to securing their third consecutive Super Bowl trophy, after defeating the San Francisco 49ers in 2024. You can watch all the action (and maybe a surprise proposal?) on Sunday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. EST on Fox.
