Rupert Grint is trying to break the internet with his latest online venture.
Earlier today, the Harry Potter alum, 32, surprised his fans by joining Instagram (@rupertgrint). To celebrate the momentous occasion, he debuted the very first photo of his baby girl. The selfie shows Grint posing for the camera, while his daughter peacefully sleeps on his chest.
He captioned the post, “Hey Instagram…only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert.” Right back at you, Ron—er, we mean—Rupert.
Grint became a dad back in May when he and his girlfriend, Georgia Groome, welcomed their first child together, a baby girl whose name had yet to be publicly announced at that point. The couple kept the pregnancy a secret for quite some time (eight months to be exact).
We first learned that Groome was expecting when she was photographed during an outing in London. It was hard to miss her growing baby bump, though we have to give her props for keeping it a secret.
In a previous interview with The Guardian, Grint discussed his growing family and joked about selecting the baby name “Ron.” “If I had a son, would I call him Ron? It’s quite a good name, but probably not,” he said. “And Grint is a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with.”
Proud dad alert? Check.
