Ron Weasley Is a Dad! ‘Harry Potter’ Alum Rupert Grint Welcomes Baby Girl

Harry Potter alum Rupert Grint is officially a father (no one tell Hermione).

Earlier today, E! News confirmed that Grint and his girlfriend, Georgia Groome, welcomed their first child together, a baby girl whose name has yet to be announced.

“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl,” a source told the outlet. “We would please ask that you respect their privacy at this very special time.”

We first learned about Groome’s pregnancy earlier this month when they were photographed during an outing in London. It was hard to miss her growing baby bump, though we have to give them props for keeping it a secret for a solid eight months.

In a previous interview with The Guardian, Grint opened up about starting a family and joked that “Ron” isn’t one of his top baby names.

“If I had a son, would I call him Ron? It’s quite a good name, but probably not,” he said. “And Grint is a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with.” Still, he never said Hermione was out of the question.
