And while the monarch has exclusively worn the Brigade of Guards brooch for the event, this year she opted for a different piece: a leek-shaped brooch gifted to her by the Welsh Guards.
  • Camilla Parker Bowles, revealed that she saw her grandchildren for the first time since she and her husband, Prince Charles, started self-isolating at Balmoral Castle.   • Queen Elizabeth may not have been able to attend her fave event of the year—the Royal Ascot—but she got to celebrate a major win. According to People, the 94-year-old monarch's horse Tactical, ridden by jockey James Doyle, won for the first time in four years in a race called the Windsor Castle Stakes. How fitting.

  • In an unexpected twist on Wednesday, Deadline announced that Kristen Stewart will play Princess Diana in the upcoming film Spencer. The movie will take place in the ’90s, when the royal realized her marriage to Prince Charles was headed for divorce. We’re still not sure how we feel about this casting just yet.
  • Sophie, Countess of Wessex followed in Prince Charles’s and Prince William’s footsteps with her own public outiing on Wednesday. She visited the U.K. charity Childline NSPCC to thank staff and volunteers for their work supporting vulnerable children. Did we mention she donned a camo dress previously worn during a virtual engagement?
  • On Thursday, Kate Middleton surprised students by leading an online assembly for the Oak National Academy, an online classroom founded in response to the coronavirus pandemic that provides free resources and video lessons. During the prerecorded speech, the duchess opened up about the importance of finding ways to make yourself feel “little bit better.”
