As queen of the United Kingdom and sovereign of the commonwealth nations, Queen Elizabeth has a very serious institution to uphold. But that doesn't mean she's all work and no play.

On the contrary, the typically stoic queen seems to love a good laugh, especially when it's at a practical joke. Mike Tindall, former professional rugby player and husband to the queen's eldest granddaughter, Zara Phillips, (and perhaps magician-in-training?) showed off his comedic skills for Her Majesty at the Royal Ascot horse races on Monday, and we can't get enough of this video.

Tindall's "hat trick" (literally) involved removing his top hat to the queen, then reaching in and pulling out an even smaller top hat. The 93-year-old seemed to enjoy her grandson-in-law's efforts, too, because she can be seen laughing after the little tiny top hat is revealed.

Yep, this is just the familiar scenario of your quirky uncle trying to make gran laugh with his practical jokes.

Ahhh, royal relatives...their family dynamics are actually eerily similar to ours.
