So am I, honestly

Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in Scotland today for the start of their two-day trip, and to say they’ve been booked and busy would be an understatement. From visiting Aros Hall and announcing two community grants through their Royal Foundation’s Community Impact Programme, to engaging with local residents, the Prince and Princess of Wales have truly hit the ground running. But despite the packed schedule, it seems the royal couple has still found a moment of peace—and it’s beautifully captured in a new photo.

Kensington Palace shared the stunning image on social media, showing William and Kate standing alone with their arms wrapped around each other’s backs. They’re gazing out over a grassy hill, with a serene body of water and rolling hills in the background.

“Wonderful to be back on the Isle of Mull. Thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome,” the caption read. The couple signed off simply, “W & C.”

The location holds special meaning for the pair, as Scotland is where their love story began during their time as students at the University of St. Andrews. The timing of the trip is also sentimental—the first day coincided with their 14th wedding anniversary.

Fans couldn't contain their admiration, flooding the comments with affection and well wishes. “Love exists, you’re the living proof,” one user wrote. Another added, “STUNNING!! The view and both of you!” A third fan shared, “I’m so happy that you were able to have this moment to yourselves. Beautiful photo.” Many others also chimed in with heartfelt “happy anniversary” messages.

The Palace also posted more snapshots from day one of the visit, including scenes of the couple exploring Croft 3, a local farm and restaurant on the west coast of Mull.

“Exploring @croft3mull on the west coast of Mull. A working farm and restaurant rooted in sustainability,” the caption read. “From low-carbon design to a menu shaped by the land, every detail celebrates local produce and community connection. A proud example of island innovation!”

Can’t wait to see what tomorrow holds for the royal pair.
