There are a lot of relationship milestones worth celebrating—first date anniversaries, moving in together, or just surviving a particularly chaotic week. But for Prince William and Kate Middleton, the next big one is kind of a royal deal: their 14th wedding anniversary. (Yes, it’s really been that long—William and Kate tied the knot on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey.)

So, how are the Prince and Princess of Wales doing after more than a decade of marriage and a whole lot of public life? According to body language expert Darren Stanton, who spoke on behalf of Betfair Slots, the couple is stronger than ever.

“In terms of the couple’s body language, they are definitely one of the strongest couples—if not the strongest—out of all of the Royal family,” Stanton shared. He noted that while Will and Kate weren’t always big on public displays of affection, there’s always been a real spark between them.

That spark was apparently visible even in the early days, when Kate would show up to support William at his polo matches. “They had a very mischievous element to their relationship and clearly shared the same sense of humour,” Stanton said.

Fast forward to today, and that connection has only deepened. Stanton explained that William is still incredibly protective of Kate and attentive when they appear at events and Kate’s own confidence has grown immensely. Both of which can be seen based on the couple's body language while they celebrated Commonwealth Day in March. The two had a moment of PDA and Kate appeared very relaxed and stood on her own versus a prior event where she leaned on a fellow royal for support.

“They now appear to be at the epitome of their relationship and well and truly in love,” he said.

As for how they’ll celebrate? The couple is reportedly heading back to where it all began—Scotland. Not only is it where they met (at the University of St. Andrews in 2001), but they’ll also be launching a new Royal Foundation initiative while they’re there.

It’s technically a work trip—but I'm crossing our fingers they get a little alone time, too.
