From his commitment to wildlife conservation to his ongoing efforts to combat climate change, it's easy to see why Prince William launched the Earthshot Prize—an annual award that celebrates the most innovative solutions to environmental challenges. On occasion, the future king will share exciting updates on the foundation, ranging from footage of recent winners to behind-the-scenes pics of filming projects. Today, however, the royal opted to share a fun clip that features a surprise celebrity.

To celebrate Earth Day, Kensington Palace took to Instagram to share a fun reel, originally posted to the Earthshot Prize account. In the video, the late Steve Irwin's son and Earthshot Prize Ambassador Robert Irwin plays a quick game of "Guess that Sound" with former Earthshot Prize winner, Vera Voronova. And judging by their spot-on responses, they're both total pros at recognizing animal sounds.

In a joint post with YouTube, Earthshot Prize captioned the post, "Not us thinking the first sound was a dinosaur. Join @RobertIrwinPhotography and the @earthshotprize this #EarthDay for a game of Guess The Animal, and check out Earthshot's channel as they work to restore the beauty of the natural world."

The Prince and Princess of Wales re-posted the video to their IG Story, adding the #EarthDay hashtag.

This isn't the first time Kensington Palace has shared footage of Robert on IG. The conservationist also appeared on their feed just a day before the Earthshot Prize ceremony in 2024, and the pair seemed to be enjoying their outdoor hike in South Africa.

Robert captioned the post, "A wonderful morning for a hike on the stunning Signal Hill, Cape Town, discussing the amazing conservation work happening here! I’m honored to be part of the @Earthshotprize family, and can’t wait for the Awards tomorrow night."

Just a few weeks ago, Kensington Palace announced that this year's Earthshot Prize will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Per BBC, Prince William said in a statement, "2025 marks the midway point of the Earthshot decade and each year we've witnessed the remarkable power of human ingenuity in addressing our planet's most pressing challenges. It is an honour to profile the people making our world a better place for us and for our children."
